“I made a list of my ten favourite books once and I realised the first five were books from my childhood: Go Dog Go, Sam and the Firefly, Are You My Mother…those books we read when we are very young leave deep marks on us and if I can make those marks resonate with truth and strength, then I’ve done a great thing.”
